| ¿Sigues trabajando la fotografía? Sí. Sigo haciendo trabajos pero por mi cuenta. Fotografía de directos para www.audiokat.com y de el último trabajo realizado fue un book en estudio. El próximo será uno de grupo, quiero intentar hacer un buen trabajo con la banda. |  | ¿Do you still work doing phographs? Yes I do. I still go with some works on my own. Live concerts for www.audiokat.com and the last one has been a studio book. The next one will be a band one. I will try to make a good job with the band. |
| ¿Algunos planes al respecto? Me gusta ir haciendo y no planear demasiado. En cuanto a la fotografía lo que vaya saliendo y a la música lo mismo pero más intenso, lo que sale y lo que se busca! ¿Qué más cosas estás haciendo, aparte de la música y la fotografía? Trabajo!.... porque toca! Jeje, si me diera tiempo a mas cosas lo haría, pero pasan los días tan rápido! |  | ¿Specific plans? I like to go on and no to plan so much. In tphotography I will go on the opportunities and in the music the same but with more intensity: the opportunities we get and the ones we search for! ¿What are you doing in addition to music and photography? Work!.... It's needed! Jeje, if I had time to do more things I will do, but days go so quick! |
| Parece que ahora tenéis ya una formación estabilizada (de nuevo) y planes de conciertos a la vista. En el último concierto en el bar Tribbiani se os veía (esa fue mi impresión) bastante compenetrados. ¿Ha sido fácil la integración de los nuevos componentes? La verdad es que estamos en la mejor formación en estos momentos. Collo, el cantante, hace ya mas de un año que llegó y su implicación y adaptación en el grupo fue buena desde el primer momento. Conectamos muy bien. Pla, el batería, ya era batería de una banda que tuve hace tiempo, o sea que ya nos conocíamos, y con el resto de la banda se llevan más que bien jeje.. demasiado bien diría yo, con tanto hombre junto hay que educarles como niños! Jajajja Somos como una guardería adulta cuando estamos juntos jejeje. |   | It seems you have now a stable team (again) and live shows planned. In the last show at the Tribbieni bar you looked (that was my impression) well integrated ¿It has been easy the integration of the new members of the band? We are really in the best team at the moment. Collo, the singer, strated with us more than one year ago and his adaptation and involvement in the band wass really good from the fisrt time. We connected quite well. Pla, the drummer, he was the drummer in a old band I had long time ago, we konw us, and with the rest of the band he has a more than good relationship. jeje.. Too much good, I would say, with so much man togheter It must to teach them like children! Jajajja We are like a nursery when we are all togheter jejeje. |
| ¿En qué estáis trabajando ahora? En nuevos temas y conseguir cada vez un sonido mas compacto. ¿Nuevos temas a la vista? Sí. Iremos rescatando temas de antes por eso, para ir variando el repertorio, nuevos y viejos, así la gente que nos apoya y viene a mas de un bolo en una temporada no se aburra. jeje |  | ¿What are you doing now? We work in new songs and in having a more compact sound. ¿New songs? Yes. We will rescue some old songs, to have a wider repertoire, new and old songs, the way the people who is supporting us and comes to more than a show in the year will not be bored. jeje. |
| Creo que hasta ahora no has firmado ningún tema. ¿No te pica el componer? Compongo! Jeje.. tengo varios cachitos por ahí acumulados en carpetas que voy grabando cuando me surgen. Lo hago porque me sale y me gusta, pero no sé si algún día haré algo con ello. De momento en LOS ELECTRICOS cuando entré ya había un porrón de temas y ahora hay mas a la vista así que difícil poder poner mas todavía, demasiado trabajo.. iré componiendo para mi cajón desastre que quien sabe, igual algún día lo escuchará alguien mas a parte de mí o se quedará para recuerdos en un futuro heredado para los peques de la family! |  | I think you didn't signed any song till today. ¿Don't you like to write? | ¿Qué tema de Los Electricos es tu favorito? ¿Y para un directo eléctrico? ¿Y para uno acústico? Buf…. Pregunta imposible de responder. Una de las cosas que me gustaron de LOS ELECTRICOS, antes de estar en ellos y ahora.. me gustan mucho los temas.. no tengo favorito!... Si tengo que destacar … mmm… el “en blanco y negro” por curioso, el “hay un extraño en mi” por rockero , “barrio” por nostálgico,.. “ella sabe lo que debe decir” por especial, “Tumbado al sol” por la sensación que dá al escuchar la letra ?.. es genial.. es que no podría elegir uno! |  | ¿What's your preferred "Los Electricos" song? Buf…. This question is impossible to answer. One of the things I liked from Los Electricos before I started ans now .. I really like the songs.. I have no favourite one!... If I must say … mmm… the “en blanco y negro” because is special, the “hay un extraño en mi” because is quite rocker , “barrio” for the nostalgy,.. “ella sabe lo que debe decir” very special, “Tumbado al sol” for the sensation I have listening to the lyrics ?.. | ¿Cómo ves el futuro de una banda de rock en Barcelona? Negrito jejeje… Creo que el tema de tocar en directo, cada vez está peor y si encima es una banda de rock pues ya lo sabes, ¿Quién aguanta muchos años en una banda de rock en la cual no ganas dinero y lo haces solo por diversión?.. no conozco demasiados.. por eso es difícil mantener una misma formación en una banda durante mucho tiempo. Lo suyo es que la banda esté unida y todos piensen en la misma dirección, el objetivo ha de pasártelo bien y sonar en grande para disfrutarlo mas, eso es todo, el resto viene o no viene solo. |  | ¿How do you see the future of a rock band in Barcelona? Really bad jejeje… Playing live is getting worst every day and much more for a rock band, ¿Who can stand years and years in a rock band where do you don't get any money and you do it only for pleasure?.. I don't know too much people.. That's the reason is so difficult to keep a team in a band for so much time. The right way is the band stand close togheter and everybody thinks in the same direction, the goal must be to enjoy and to have a great sound to enjoy mucho more, that's all, the rest it comes or not by itself. |
| ¿Ves movimiento en general en España? Me refiero tanto a nuevas bandas y nuevas cosas de las mas antiguas y a la existencia de público. ¿Lo ves parado? ¿Lo ves activo? Veo que internet ha ayudado en algunos aspectos pero en otros ha hecho daño. Hay tanta demanda y oferta de cosas que la gente está saturada. Ya muy pocos van a escuchar un grupo que no conocen todo el disco. La gente se está acostumbrando a hacer Zapping también con la música. Es una pena, pero ahora cualquiera puede colgar su disco por internet , y eso es bueno y malo al mismo tiempo. Luego está el tema del panorama en cuanto a las salas de directos… cada vez son menos y las que son la mayoría son grupos cerrados.. o te apuntas a algunas producciones u organización o no te programan y encima el dinero se lo ganan ellos a cambio de promoción que te hacen (eso explican).. vaya vida de músico nos espera! Jjajaa.. hay que tomárselo con filosofía y disfrutar lo que se pueda. En cuanto al público es difícil moverlo.. normalmente comen lo que les echan por la TV así que a las bandas de barrio que como mucho salimos en el BTV nos cuesta acumular público, es un trabajo! |    | ¿Do you see rock scene in Spain? I mean new bands and also older ones and also the public answer. ¿Do you think it's stopped? ¿Maybe alive and active? I think internet has helped, but at the same time it has been a problem. There's so much offer and demand than people gets saturation. Few ones go to listen a band they don't know the entire record. People get used to do zapping also with music. It's a pitty, but now whoever can put his own record on the net and this is good and bad at the same time. Then you have the playhouses scene… there are few every day and most of them are closed groupsa.. you must be in some circles or organizations or you stay outside and they get the money for promotion (o somethng like, they said).. Hard life as musician is awaiting us! Jjajaa.. It must be taken with philosophy and enjoy as much as you can. The public... is hard to move it... usually they eat the TV and the local market bands, taht we can go to the local TV as maximun, we have a great handicap to get public, it's a hard work! |
| ¿Dónde te gustaría estar en cinco o diez años? Dónde? En Barcelona! Jeje.. me gustaría seguir tocando aquí y en el extranjero y disfrutando de la música. Si puede ser que nos lleven los cacharros y telonear a los grandes jajaja.. por pedir! |  | ¿Where do you would like to be in 5 or 10 years? Where? In Barcelona! Jeje.. I would lije to keep playing here and outside and enjoying the music. If possible, I would like to have somebody to handle the things and support the great ones jajaja.. dreaming! |
| ¿Qué le recomendarías a alguien que sueña con ser una estrella del rock y empieza? Primero de todo que se quite de la cabeza lo de estrella del rock jeje.. que si le gusta la música se lo curre, practique y elija la gente adecuada para compartir la música. Escuchar mucha música antes de nada y tocar escuchando al resto. |  | ¿What's your advice for someone who starts dreaming to be a rock star? First, forget about to be a rock star jeje.. If he enjoys music, work, practice and choose the right people to share the music. Listen lots of music before and playing listening the others. |
| Uno de los objetivos que nos pusimos al empezar esta aventura fue traer a intérpretes de Barcelona y alrededores, preguntarles y ofreceros sus gustos, inquietudes y opiniones. Hemos tenido la oportunidad de entrevistar a Soraya Diebra, bajista de "Los Eléctricos" enchufados y guitarrista de "Los Eléctricos" desenchufados. En ambos casos, también voz acompañante. |  | One of our goals we stated when we started this blog was to find musicians from Barcelona, to talk with them and to bring to you their feelings and opinions. We have had the opportunity to "talk" with Soraya Diebra, "Los Eléctricos" bassist when plugged and "Los Eléctricos" guitarrist when unplugged. In both cases, she plays also chorus. |
| Soraya nació el 8 de junio de 1978 (apuntando para felicitarla), es géminis (como los buenos, jeje) y va camino de completar su 31 vuelta al sol. Sin embargo, no parece cansada. Como sea que la entrevista es algo larga, la dividiremos en pequeñas píldoras para que sus fans puedan degustarlas con la tranquilidad que requieren. Empezamos con la píldora primera: | Soraya was born on juny, 8th 1978 (you can book this date and go to her mySpace or Facebook to wish her a happy birthday), she's gemini and she's going to end her 31 journey around the sun. Despite this effort, she don't look tired. We think he interview we have made is too long for a single post, then we are going to split it in three pills you can taste relaxed. | ¿Tocas algún otro instrumento? Aporreo la batería cuando me dejan :). ¿A qué edad empezaste con la música? Vaya… esto me recuerda que los años pasan! Jejee.. A los 7 años recuerdo pillar una febrada grande y coger una caja de cartón de un juego de los Fraggle Rock, le puse gomas de pollo y practicaba ritmos que me inventaba jejee.. sí sí.. mis principios fueron así, a partir de ese día pedí una guitarra Si que fue temprana la vocación. ¿Cómo empezaste a tocar algo más en serio? En cuanto tuve la primera guitarra me apunté a clases en el colegio. Allí aprendía acordes y un poco de blues gracias a un compañero de clase que en algún hueco me enseñaba como tocar una base de blues, buf.. que buenos recuerdos, aquello empezaba a sonar realmente bien jeje.. por cierto el compañero es Alex TNT, grandes bolos y giras con grandes músicos hace ahora. |  | ¿Do you play some other instrument? I hammer drums when they aloow me :). ¿What age did you start with music? Oh… this remembers me that years go on! Jejee.. I remember being ill when I was 7yo and I took a cardborad box from a Fraggle Rock game, I put it some elastic bands (those used in chicken) and I practice rithms I was inventing myself jejeee... yes yes... that was the way I started; since that day I asked for a guitar You really started soon. ¿How did you start playing music more seriously? As soon I got my first guitar I went to classes at school. There I learned some chords and a bit of blues because there was a classmate who teached me in some free time haw to play a blues basis, buf.. nice to remember, it started to sound quite well jeje.. the classmate was Alex TNT, big shows and gigs with good musicians he's doing roght now. |
| ¿Recuerdas tu primer instrumento? Bueno, el primero fue una flauta, en mi cole era obligatorio, en la clases de música, era lo que te enseñaban. Seguidamente tuve una armónica y un casio tone jeje…. De ahí ya he explicado como fui a parar a tocar la guitarra. ¿Y el primero profesional? Y tanto… fue en mi 18 cumpleaños.. regalo de mi madre, me acompañó a una tienda de música, en la cual yo cuando hacía campana del instituto iba ahí a tocar la guitarra que me había robado el alma jeje.. Mala suerte que la tienda estaba cerrada unos días por motivos personales así que fuimos a otra tienda y del catálogo elegí la guitarra que quería, fue increíble. Tardaron unos días en traerla pero cuando llegó no me lo podía creer. Una Vigier excalibur, demasiado para mis manos en esos momentos. |  | ¿Do you remember your first instrument? Well, the first one was a flute, in my school it was obligatory, in the music lessons, it was what was teached. After this, I've got a mouth organ and a casiotone jeje…. From that point I've already told you how did I came to play guitar. ¿And the first professional one? of course… it was in my 18 birthday... a gift from my mother, she took me to a music store, wich I should visit to play a special guitar that stole my heart when I skive off schoool jeje.. We had the bad luck the store was closed for some personal affair and we must go to another one where I choosed my guitar from the catalog, It was incredible. They took some days bringing it but when it arrived I really couldn't believe it. A Vigier Excalibur, too much for my hands at that time. |
| Está claro que hay experiencias que no se olvidan. ¿Has estado antes en otros grupos? Sí, a ver.. estuve en un par que hicimos con los amigos del barrio, sonábamos fatal pero lo pasábamos en grande. El siguiente fue un trío acústico, nos llamábamos EXPRESO. Y antes de LOS ELECTRICOS en otro grupo de rock. No se puede decir que hayas estado quieta, sin duda... ¿Cuáles son tus gustos musicales? Me gusta desde el rock, blues, funky, música cubana, rancheras, un poco de todo, principalmente el rock, grandes Rolling’s, Beatles y Tequila. También destacaría en mis influencias Kiko Veneno!... gran maestro, me encantan sus canciones. Y como no, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Graham Parker, BB King, Joe Jackson…. Y un largo etc de música buena de antes, como Gene Vincent por ejemplo que dá nombre a vuestro blog una de sus canciones míticas. |  | For sure, they are some experiences really hard to forget. ¿Did you had another bands before? Yes, let's see.. I was in a couple of band we made some neighbors, we sound awful but we enjoyed a lot. Next, was an acoustic trío called EXPRESO. Anb, just before "Los Electricos" in another rock band. Of course, you haven't been waiting ... ¿What's the music do you like? I like from rock, blues, funky, cuban music, rancheras, a bit of everything, mainly rock, the most Rolling’s, Beatles and Tequila. I will remark between the most influential Kiko Veneno!... great master, I love his songs. Of course, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Graham Parker, BB King, Joe Jackson…. And a long list od good old music as Gene Vincent, for instance, one of this mythical songs giving name to your blog. |
| ¿Alguna pasión secreta? ¿Algún gusto que sorprendería (p.ej. ser fan de Bisbal)? Jajjaa… todos tenemos algún secreto :p… Actualmente no me gustan pero reconozco que Amaral es muy personal y tiene muy buena voz, cuando lo comento me miran raro jejej.. pero lo pienso y lo digo. ¿Cuáles son tus influencias? Toda la música comentada anteriormente. Si me he dejado alguno sería, Los Rodríguez, Soda Stereo, Los Piratas, Marañones, Police, Bob Maley, Ilegales… etc, etc… |  | ¿Some crecret passion? ¿Some amazing thing (p.ej. be a fan of Bisbal)? Jajjaa… we all we have some secret :p… Right now I don't like them, but I admit Amaral is very personal and she has a really good voice, when I said that usually they look at me as something strange jejej.. but I think that and I tell it. ¿Who are the most influencing musicians for you? All the music I've told you before. Meybe I shlould add Los Rodríguez, Soda Stereo, Los Piratas, Marañones, Police, Bob Maley, Ilegales… etc, etc… |
| Dicen las malas lenguas que el bajista es el guitarrista que peor toca. ¿Qué dirías a esto? Jajajja.. que voy a decir?.. toco la guitarra y el bajo y lo que me dejen jeje.. así que no puedo decir que eso sea cierto yo, lo tendría que decir otro. ;) Aunque considero que las malas lenguas dicen tantas cosas! No se puede generalizar, habrá de todo. ¿Qué diferencia sientes entre tocar el bajo en los directos eléctricos y la guitarra en los acústicos? Que en los acústicos estoy sentada? Jajaja… y que no tenemos que cargar tanto equipo!.. es mas descansado. Me lo paso bien tocando en directo, me dá igual que tocar, eso sí, me gusta ir variando, de acústicos a eléctricos. A ver si ahora empezamos a hacer mas acústicos y así variamos mas. |  | Some peole says the bassist is the worst guitarrist of the band. ¿What do you would say about? Jajajja.. what can I say?.. I play guitar and bass guitar and everything I can jeje.. then I can't say this is true, somebody else should say it. ;) But I consider people sometimes says so much things! You can't generalize, for sure there are all kind of situations. ¿Do you feel differences between playing bass in the plugged shows and guitar in the unplugged ones? In the unplugged ones I sit? Jajaja… and we don't need to handle all the stuff!.. it's easy. I enjoy playing live, I don't mind what to play, but I like the changes, acoustics and electrics. I hope we start playing more unplugged and we can shift more. |
| ¿Conoces a Colin Hodgkinson? A mí me parece alucinante lo que este hombre es capaz de sacarle a un bajo. Sabía que fue uno de los bajistas de Whitesnake. Inceible el video que me has enlazado. No lo había visto antes. Genial. ¿Qué bajistas te gustan más a tí? ¿Por qué? La verdad es que no tengo ningún bajista favorito. De vez en cuando chafardeo videos por el youtube, de Marcus Miller, Jaco Pastorius entre otros, y descubro varios bajistas alucinantes pero como no me gusta el abuso de técnicas los grandes bajistas me llegan a empalagar un poco, aunque los admiro por el trabajo realizado hasta llegar ahí, pero no me llenan. Alguien que me gusta escuchar y analizar es el exbajista de los Rolling Stones, Bill Wyman, muy personal y Sting. |  | ¿Do you know Colin Hodgkinson? I should look some videos at youtube, Marcus Miller, Jaco Pastorius and otherss, I discover amazing bass players but I don't like the techical exces and I find the big ones rather cloying, even if I admire them for all the work done to reach that point, but they don't fulfill me. Someone I really like to hear and analyze is the Rolling Stone, Bill Wyman, really personal and Sting. |
| ¿Y guitarristas? Lo mismo que la anterior respuesta, como no me gustan los adornos en exceso jeje.. es difícil elegir un buen guitarrista que no abuse de ello. Si tuviera que destacar a alguien sería a Hendrix, Rory Gallagher, Keith Richards, en blues me encanta BB King, y Jordi Egea! Creo que Soraya desconocía que mi primer concierto fue el de Rory Gallagher en el Palacio de los Deportes de Montjuich. Algo inolvidable. |  | ¿What about guitar players? Same as before, I don't like too much ornaments jeje.. I0s difficult to choose a guitarrist who don't do that. If I must choose somebody they will be Hendrix, Rory Gallagher, Keith Richards, more bluesy I like BB King, y Jordi Egea!
