Primera parte (First half)

Cuestionario (Last part)

¿Cual es tu equipo? Tengo varias guitarras eléctricas, un par de Dean, las Dean Razorback Explosion y Dean Far Beyond Driven Tribute, y una Washburn st. Tengo también una Oscar Schmidt Acoustic Guitar, y un banjo Johnson 5string. Mi amplificador es Hughes&Kettner, y tengo varios pedales como Pod xt, Krank distortion, Krankshaft, MXR zw44, 45, Digitech whammy, Delay… utilizo también las Dunlop Zakk Wylde Signature 060, i cables Monster. ¿Has tenido algun profesor? No. ¿Cuáles son tus guitarristas favoritos? Exactamente, Zakk Wylde y Dimebag Darrell. Ellos suenan increibles hasta en acordes bien simples. El Shred es alucinante y muy chocante tambien! Las escalas agresivas, los enfermizos vibratos de Dimebag, las escalas clasicas y potentes de Zakk... Por eso son mis favoritos! Bueno, como ya hemos dicho, eres el guitarrista principal de la banda “To My Last Breath”. ¿Como empezasteis? Bueno, hace un par de años estaba buscando una nueva banda en nuestra gran ciudad, pero fue bastante dificil encontrar a heavys. La escena metalera esta bastante mal. Encontre a un compañero death y thrash metalero. Necesitamos nuevas generaciones de heavys, nadie toca ya apenas. Hablamos sobre “peoples death and life and birth” y probamos de mezclar heavy, thrash, death… Desafortunadamente, encontrar al resto de components es muy dificil, y más que piensen igual. Nuestro hermano ED hizo el nombre de la banda, To My Last Breath (mensaje sobre vida, muerte and nacimiento) y empezamos. ¿Cual es tu papel en las composiciones? Composiciones? Si te refieres a la manera de componer canciones… No tengo un esquema a seguir, composición libre. Cada canción se toca una vez y se graba, y mejora rápida o lentamente. Pero si te refieres a la posición de composición dentro de mi banda… Soy guitarra solista, escribo las canciones, los riffs y la parte de bajo. ¿Planeais algun tour presentando vuestro trabajo? No todavia. Preparamos nuestro primer EP debut ahora. Todo el trabajo esta hecho, cuando tengamos todo bien acabado lo prepararemos.

No ¿What are your preferred guitarrists? ¿Why? Exactly, Zakk&Dime. Because they playing awesome sounds in really simple chord. Shrredding skills is wonderful and I always shock! Aggressive scale and squall’s Dimebag and sick vibrato and powerfull classical pentatonic’s Zakk is my preferred guitarrists Well, you’re the guitarist of "to my last breath". How did the band started? Well..2year ago I searching new band in our big city. But very difficult find metal guys. And metal scene is really owful. Nobody playing metal style. But I found some guy. He ‘s music style is classical death, thrash guy. We need new generations music. And talk about “peoples death and life and birth”and we try mixed heavymetal/death, thrash genre. Unfortunately, rest of member (bass,drum) is can’t found and now also…we call sessions ,,really difficulty found member to about our same thinking. And our brother ED makin our band name “To My Last Breath (message about life,death,birth)” so we started this band ¿What’s your role in compositions? Compositions? It means making songwrite? I haven’t role for makin song.free making.few our songtrack is only one playing and recording ended.fast improve or really slaow improve . My feeling is choose that. Or you saying my position of composition in my band? I Playing lead guitar and writing song and riffs and recording bass part ¿Do you plan any tour presenting and promoting your record? Not yet. we prepare our first debut ep album now.all working is done.we waiting album out dates and we plan tour Schedule now. we signed major record in our country.if we finished then we will do that

¿Cual es tu cancion favorita de To my last breath? ¿Y tu solo? Todas las canciones son perfectas!! Jaja :) Me gusta nuestro primer solo de introduccion, “The end of despair”, ¡realmente tenebroso! ¡Y el solo en nuestra quinta canción “Unheard silence” es bueno! ¡El tapping y tocar como Zakk Wylde me vuelve loco! ¿Como es la escena metalera en tu país? ¿Es facil formar una banda y empezar a tocar? La escena esta muy mal. Sin esperanza. Los metaleros no escuchan las nuevas generaciones. Cierran sus orejas y construyen un muro. En Asia la gente es muy terca, y no les gusta el estilo del metal Koreano. El sonido metalero no esta hecho para las orejas asiaticas, pero aqui en Korea intentamos unirlo a todos los estilos. El Metal no es la cultura de korea, prefieren el karaoke y el dance. Asi que tenemos que hacer todo lo possible. Hay muchos fans del Heavy Metal clásico aqui, asi que nuestra primera pregunta era “¿como podemos mover a estos tios clásicos?”. En cuanto a formar una banda… solo necesitas tu equipo y empezar a tocar! ¿Cómo ves el futuro de la banda? Solo espero que no se rompa esta banda y que algún día la gente sepa de nuestro mensaje y sentimiento en el mundo metalero. Nuestro EP “ It will be buried on calmness(2009)” saldrá pronto y estamos contactando con compañías mundiales ahora. Quizás lo podáis comprar en vuestro pais! ¿Cómo ves la escena en Korea? Me refiero tanto a las nuevas bandas como a las mas antiguas, la respuesta del público… La escena en nuestro país es maravillosa ahora. No exactamente metal, rock. Televisiones y cable se han fijado en mucha musica underground. Mucha gente está aburrida del pop coreano y están encontrando una nueva generación de bandas, lo que da la oportunidad a las bandas de crecer y desarrollarse. Y las bandas más antiguas tratan de ayudar a las nuevas, ayudandoles a salir a la luz y ser conocidas por mas gente. Creo que son buenos tiempos. ¿Donde te gustaría estar en 5 ó 10 años? No te tentiendo bien. ¿Donde? Hm Nunca pienso acerca de mi futuro. Mi futuro es un tunel oscuro y largo. La economía mundial y la vida real están despertando mi futuro. ¿Que recomendarías a los jóvenes que sueñan con ser estrellas del metal y empiezan a tocar? Ah! Sentimiento! Porque tocar es eso! Y probar!! Intentalo tan cercano como sea posible! Entonces lo encontrarás! No te rindas! Lo que copies e intentes te ayuda! Recuerda siempre a tus héroes!ha~try crazy!

¿What’s your favourite To my last breath song? ¿And your solo? All song is perfect! Haha :) I like our first intro song.. “the end of despair” really scary and terrible! And solo is in our ep album 5th song“unheard silence” is good ! tapping and zakk style playing is makes me crazy! ¿How is the metal scene in your country? It’s easy form a band and start to play? Our metal scene is really bad. Hopeless. Metal guys don’t listen new generations. Closed there ears and built the wall. Asia peoples many has stubborn ..really bad problem and peoples don’t like Korean metal style. Metal sounds is not maching to asia ears but many Koreans try to upgrades music life through anything styles. Because metal is not korea music culture. Garaoke and dance, trot music is most popular. So we should some try anything possible thing. Too many classical metal fans here. Our first question is “how we can move and broken these classical guys”. Exacltly these guys moving our whole of music scene. And yeah. Really easy to start to band. Just have a instruments, some peoples just need beat, sounds. ¿How do you see the future of the band? I only think about don’t broken this band and living forever and someday peoples know about our messages and feeling that to world metal guys! Our EP album “ it will be buried on calmness(2009)” is out soon. And we contact world records now, maybe you can buy in your country! ¿How dou you see the scene in your country? I mean new bands and also the older ones, and the public attending… Our country scene is wonderful now. Exactly, not metal, rock genre. Many underground music is spotlight to major television and cable. Many peoples boring Korean popsong and they find new genereations bands now, these times, under bands is good chance to going major and more upgrades bands life. And old great bands try help under minor bands now. They helping going to major and more spotlight into peoples. I think nice times ¿Where do you would like to be in 5 or 10 years? I can’t understand . Where? Where I would to be 5 or 10 years? Hm I don’t think about that my future ever. My future is dark and long tunnel. World economy and real-true life is awaken my future and fight alone from another me. ¿What’s your advice for the guys dreaming to be a metal star and starts to play? Ah! Feeling! why he playing do that! And try !! Try to closed He’s playing! then you ‘ll find that! don’t give up! anything copy and wannabe is helping you! these times always still remember with your hero! ha~try crazy!

Interview Heinekkken (Korean guitarrist) (Part 1/3)

Como he dicho siempre, apoyar a las nuevas bandas y a los nuevos músicos es algo que todos debemos hacer si queremos seguir disfrutando de buena música. Pero no solo hay bandas que empiezan aquí, sino que en cada país y cada ciudad podemos encontrar muchísimas. Así que hoy tenemos una entrevista a Heinekkken, guitarrista de Korea del Sur, que toca en la banda “To My Last Breath”. Quizás llegue el día en que tengamos la suerte de verle tocar en directo, pero hasta entonces tendremos que conformarnos con esta entrevista, sus videos y sus canciones, que podéis encontrar en su canal de youtube o myspace.

As I've always told, we all should support the new bands and musicians if we really want to enoy good music in the future. Of course, there are new bands not only here, but in every country and town we can find a lot of them. Today we bring here Heinekkken, south korean guitarrist, lead guitar on “To My Last Breath”. ¿Tocas algún otro instrumento? Si, toco el banjo, me gustan las canciones country, y también toco el bajo. ¿Tocas en alguna banda? Toco en dos bandas en mi país. Death/core y Hard/core. ¿A que edad empezaste en la música? Empecé más o menos sobre los 18 y 19. ¿Cómo empezaste? Empece como todo el mundo, bastante normal. Solo quería ser una estrella como Dimebag, Ozzy, o Zakk Wylde. ¿Recuerdas tu primer instrumento? mmm… No lo recuerdo, la verdad. Quizás una guitarra realmente barata para ejercitar (entre 100 y 150 dolares), en el instituto. ¿Has tocado en alguna otra banda antes? Oficialmente no, nada serio.

¿Do you play any other instrument? Yeah I play banjo, I like country songs, also I can play bass ¿Do you play actually in some band? I playing 2 band in my country. death/core and hardcore band ¿Which age did you started with music? I started maybe 18~19 ¿How did you started? Very normal started. Just wanna be star like a Dimebag, Ozzy, Zakk. ¿Do you remember your first instrument? Hm well... I can’t remember that. Maybe really cheap and exercise guitar (about 100~150 dollar)I buyed at high school ¿Did you played in other bands before now? Officially,No

¿Cuales son tus preferencias? Mis preferencias no son demasiado bien aceptadas en mi peqeño pais, la gente no suele acercarse por que desconoce mi musica. ¿Alguna pasión secreta? Si, probablemente tenga alguna y siento que algo está siempre bullendo en mi corazón. Pero no me escandalizo fácilmente. Creo en mi alma. La pasión tiene un significado muy importante para los músicos. Te puede ayudar refrescando un corazón cerrado o una alma moribunda. ¿Cuáles son tus influencias? Me influencia la vida de la gente, su respiración y yo me expreso a través de mi guitarra. También me ha influenciado mi padrino Ozzy Osbourne, Zakk Wylde, Dimebag Darrell heroe eterno y también me ha influenciado Martin Scorsese. Es un director de cine.. me plantea preguntas cómo “qué pienso” o “qué es importante para mí” y me da un marco para mirar mi cara, otro yo diciendo siempre ”qué es lo que realmente deseas hacer en este mundo?”

¿What are you preferences? Very bad my prefernces. No one closed to me like a my music style because I living small country. Peoples don’t know about these music ¿Do you have some secret passion? ¿Something that can be shocking? Yeah surely I have this and I feeling that always!burning something into my heart. But well..i can’t certainty can be shock. I believe my soul. Passion is really important meaning to musicians. It can help refreshing there closing heart or dying soul ¿What are your main influences? I influences by peoples life,peoples breathing and I talk and expressed through by my guitar. Also I influenced by my godfather Ozzy Osbourne, Zakk Wylde, forever hero Dimebag Darrell, viny brother, and I also influenced by Martin Scorsese. He is movie director..godfather!! he gives me question “what I think something” and “what is important to me” and gives me window for facing my face. Another me saying always.”really what do you want to do in this world?”
