Una de las bandas que se van a presentar en el próximo KANYA!!! a Sant Climent 2009 es la valenciana Dead Over Threat. Os traemos una pequeña presentación de la banda y una entrevista con ellos.
La historia tomada del myspace de la banda (a short history)
| En otoño del 2002 nace un proyecto de Thrash Metal llamado "Deathreat", en Noviembre del 2003 graban lo que sera la primera maqueta en los Immortal Estudios que tuvo buena acogida por el publico. Por aquel entonces el grupo se componia por: Sacha - Voz y guitarra, Mister - Guitarra, Pio - Bajo y Billy - Bateria. A partir de ahi por motivos personales y debido a varios cambios en la formacion el grupo se disuelve. En Noviembre del 2005 los antiguos "Deathreat" deciden retomar lo empezado ya que no querian dejar en el olvido un proyecto que tenia buenas expectativas. En esta nueva era habran cambios no solo en lo musical (las composiciones seran de mayor madurez y con mas melodias) sino en la formación y el nombre. El puesto de Billy (bateria) pasa a ocuparlo Toni y el grupo queda rebautizado como "DEATH OVER THREAT". A principios de verano del 2007 entran a grabar en los estudios de Fernando Asensi (Opera Magna, Zarpa....) 9 temas, retomando algunos de la maqueta y otras composiciones nuevas. Actualmente acaban de fichar por Xtreemmusic que ha finales de este año editara lo que sera su album debut "SANGRE". |  | In the autum of 2002 starts a Thrash Metal project called "Deathreat"; in November 2003 they record the first demo at the Immortal Estudios with a good acceptance for the public. At that time, the group lineup was: Sacha - Voice and Guitar, Mister - Guitar, Pio - Bass and Billy - Drums. From that point, for personal reasons and due to some changes in the lineup, the band stops. In november 2005 the old "Deathreat" decide to restart the project because they didn't want to let die a project with so good expectations. There are musical changes with more mature songs and with more melodics and also in the lineup and the band's name. The place of Billy at the drums is occuped by Toni and the band takes the name "DEATH OVER THREAT". In summer 2007 they start recording at the Fernando Asensi's studios (Opera Magna, Zarpa....) 9 songs, replaying some from the first demo and new ones. Currently, they work with Xtreemmusic and plan to launch their first album "BLOOD". |

| ¿Es vuestra primera participación en KANYA!!! ?. Si, aunque nuestro guitarra Mister ya estuvo en otra edicion con otra banda. ¿en que año? ¿Cual es el recuerdo que teneis de aquel concierto? Pues fue en el 2006, en la tercera edicion del festival, estuvo colaborando con la banda Voice of Hate que en ese momento precisaban un guitarra. Iba tan trompa que se acuerda de bien poco, asi que intuimos que se lo paso en grande. |  | ¿Is this you first time in KANYA!!! ?. Yes. In fact, our guitar Mister he was in another editions with another band. ¿When it was? ¿How do he remenber that concert? It was in 2006, in the third edition. He was playing with Voice of Hate because they needed a guitar at that moment. He was so drunk than he remember not so much, then we think he had a good time!. |
| ¿Cual es la formación actual del grupo? Actualmente DEATH OVER THREAT somos: SACHA - Voz & Guitarra, MISTER - Guitarra, PIO - Bajo & Coros y TONI - Bateria. ¿Cuanto tiempo llevais con la formación actual del grupo? Desde finales de 2005 que fue un poco el renacer de la banda. ¿Que habeis hecho ultimamente? Ultimamente hemos fichado por Xtreemmusic y estamos a la espera de editar lo que sera nuestro primer disco titulado Sangre, que si no pasa nada saldra en Marzo. Hemos empezado a hacer la promocion del disco tocando con varias bandas del panorama nacional y recientemente con Necronomicon, Aggression y Keys to Eternity en el ThrashFest en Madrid. |  | ¿What's the current band’s lineup? Now DEATH OVER THREAT we are: SACHA - Voice & Guitar, MISTER - Guitar, PIO - Bass & Chorus and TONI - Drums. ¿How much time do you have that lineup? Since the end of 2005, when the band reborn. ¿What have you done this last time? We have signed with Xtreemmusic and we are waiting to launch our first record called “Blood”, what we expect will occur in March. We have started to make the promotion of that record playing with several bands os the national scene ans, most recently, with Necronomicon, Aggression y Keys to Eternity in the ThrashFest at Madrid. |
| ¿Vais a presentar temas nuevos en KANYA!!!? Respuesta: Para los que no nos conozcan logicamente si pero nuestro repertorio se ciñe a lo que sera el disco junto con alguna version ¿Cómo definis vuestro sonido? Ruido,ruido y mas ruido ja,ja,ja... hacemos Thrash Metal contemporaneo y creemos haber alcanzado un sonido muy personal ya que Sacha es un vocalista bastante versatil que no se dedica todo el tiempo a berrear y eso nos da un estilo diferente. ¿Cuáles son vuestras influencias? ¿Que os gusta escuchar? Los cuatro tenemos gustos diferentes y escuchamos muchos estilos de musica y sobre todo Metal hecho con buen gusto como Nevermore, Strappin Young Lad, Volbeat... y por supuesto los clasicos Slayer, Metallica, Maiden, Paradise Lost, King Diamond... |  | ¿There will be new songs at KANYA!!!? For the people who doesn’t know us, of course yes; but ourt repertoire is our record and some version ¿Can you define your sound? Noise, noise and more noise, ha,ha,ha... we play comtemporary Thrash Metal and we think we have reached a quite personal sound because Sacha is a versatile vocalist who didn’t spend all the time screaming and it gives us a different style. ¿What are your main influences? ¿What do you like to ear? We four we have different tastes and we ear a lot of different music styles, specially good taste metal like Nevermore, Strappin Young Lad, Volbeat... and, of course, the classics Slayer, Metallica, Maiden, Paradise Lost, King Diamond... |
| ¿Cuál es el tema preferido de vuestras letras? Pues van de algodones de azucar con olor a fresa y florecillas del campo no te jode!!!!! ja,ja,ja... no ahora en serio, solemos escribir sobre el lado mas oscuro del ser humano y sus consecuencias. ¿Que proyectos teneis para este año? Presentar nuestro primer disco en tantos sitios como sea posible y estamos empezando a componer lo que sera nuestro proximo lanzamiento. Y dejar de fumar ja,ja,ja... |  | ¿Whats the prefereed theme od your lyrics? We talk about sugar cottons with strawberry smell and little country flowers ... don’t you!!!!! ja,ja,ja... Seriously, we use to write about the darkest side of the human bneing and his consequences. ¿What are you main prohjects for this year? To present our first record in so much places it will be possible and we are starting to work in the next issue. And stop smoking ja,ja,ja... |
| ¿Como veis el panorama musical en Barcelona y especialmente el metal? Pues como somos de Valencia no estamos muy puestos en el tema de Barna pero vamos, hemos tenido la suerte de poder tocar con Crysys y ultimamente con Aggression y la verdad tienen un directo muy bueno y son gente estupenda, tambien conocemos de oidas a Steelgar vamos que el panorama esta bastante bien sobre todo en lo referente a Thrash Metal, parece que esta resurgiendo de sus cenizas y estan saliendo muchas bandas que prometen bastante, aunque no queremos encasillarnos como un grupo de Old School. |  | ¿What do you think abiut the music scene in Barcelona ans specially the metal one? As we came from Valencia, we didn’t really know very well the Barcelona scene; but, we have had the fortune of playing libe with Crysys and, recently, with Aggression and they really are a very good live and they are really good people; we also know Steelgar. Let’s say the scene is quite good specially in Thrash Metal, it seems it’s reemerging from ashes ans there are appering lots of bands with good perspectives, even if we don’t want to close ourselves as an Old School band. |
| ¿Que le aconsejariais a los que estan empezando a montar sus bandas? Que se dejen de tonterias, que estudien y se busquen un buen trabajo ja,ja,ja... no se, si se lo toman en plan hobbie que lo disfruten y si es en serio... que se lo piensen dos veces porque es muy dura la rutina de viajar, tocar, drogarse y follar, viajar, tocar, drogarse y follar... ja,ja,ja... |  | ¿What’s your advice for those who start buildiong their bands? Stop kidding and look for a good job ja,ja,ja... I don’t kknow, if they take it a a hobbie just enjoy and if the take it more seriosly... better think twice because it’s really hard the routine to travel, to play, to take drugs, to fuck and to travel, to play, to take drugs, to fuck... ja,ja,ja... |

Simplemente dar las gracias a todos los que haceis un esfuerzo ante la crisis y apoyais concierto tras concierto a la escena metalera que buena falta nos hace en este Pais. Asi que esperamos que vengais todos al St. Climent y os aconsejamos que traigais tapones para los oidos porque vamos a salir a destrozar timpanos y la vamos a liar parda!!!!!! |  | Do you would like to say something more to our readers?
