| ¿Es vuestra primera participación en KANYA!!! ? No, Setge ya ha actuado en este festival anteriormente. ¿En qué año(s) habéis estado? ¿Cuál es el recuerdo que tenéis de aquel concierto? La primera vez fue en la cuarta edición del festival en el año 2007, todo y que por aquellos tiempos la formación no era la actual. Actuaron: Aamon (voz),Jose L. (Bateria),Alexander (guitarra) Pablo Seijo (bajo) y Phackner (guitarra). Siento no poder contarte de primera mano las experiencias de esa edición puesto que yo (Victor, guitarrista actual)soy el único de la formación que no pudo asistir a aquel evento aunque, las impresiones que me han contado mis compañeros de grupo auguran una buena fiesta...ya ves que dos años mas tarde Setge vuelve a repetir encantado. Por cierto, Xavi Brossa(bajista actual),también actuó en aquella edición aunque no con Setge sino con la otra banda en la que todavía hoy milita (Caustic) |  | ¿Is this your first time in KANYA!!! ? No, Setge has already played in that fest. ¿When did you played? ¿How do you remember that gig? The first time it was at the fourth edition in 2007, even if the lineup of the band was not the current one. They played: Aamon (voice),Jose L. (Drums), Alexander (guitar), Pablo Seijo (bass) and Phackner (guitar). I’m sorry I can’t talk directly about the experience of that gig because I (Victor,current guitar) was the only one that couldn’t attend it. But the impressions I’ve got from the rest of the band foretells a very ggod fest...Two years later Setge is pleased to repeat. El ultimo en entrar en la formación actual de la banda fue Xavi que lo hizo la misma noche de la cuarta edición de la que hablábamos del festival Kanya a principios del año 2007 si no recuerdo mal fue el mes de marzo, creo. |  | ¿What’s the current lineup of the band? Currently the members of Setge we are: Aamon (voice), Alexander (guitar),Victor (guitar), Xavi (bass) and Jose L. (drums) ¿How much time do you have the same lineup? The last coming was Xavi who entered the band the same night we were talking before, during the fourth edition of the KANYA!!! fest in 2007, i guess it was in march. |
| ¿Qué habéis hecho últimamente? Pues aparte de tocar en algunos festivales y salas, el año pasado grabamos un disco en los AX Studios de Barcelona que saldrá en breve y llevara por título "Cecs de ràbia...Cecs de dolor”. Ahora mismo estamos ultimando la portada e interiores del mismo. ¿Vais a presentar temas nuevos en KANYA!!!? Bueno, si contamos con que todavía no tenemos ningún disco en el mercado pues todos nuestros temas son nuevos, pero contestando realmente a tu pregunta. Pues no, vamos a tocar algunos de los mismos temas que hemos tocado últimamente en nuestros conciertos los cuales están incluidos en la grabación más alguna versión. |  | ¿What have you done the last time? In addition of some gigs in festivals and other places, we have recorded our first work at the AX Studios of Barcelona that we will launch soon called "Cecs de ràbia...Cecs de dolor" (“Blind of anger… Blind of pain”) .Right now we are finishing the cover and some interior content. ¿Are you going to present new songs in KANYA!!!? Well… taking into account that we don’t have any record in the market yet ,all the songs are new; but answering to your question, we will play some of the songs we have being playing the last times in our gigs that are included in the record and some additional version. |
| ¿Cómo definís vuestro sonido? Creo que hay una gran mezcla de estilos dentro de Setge ya que tenemos diversas influencias los cinco miembros del grupo aunque principalmente nos basamos en el Death/Black Metal. ¿Cuáles son vuestras influencias? ¿Qué os gusta escuchar? Seguro que si juntásemos todos los discos que tenemos todos los miembros del grupo encontraríamos una muy amplia variedad de estilos. Como te he dicho estamos influenciados mayormente por el Death y el Black Metal aunque no cerramos nuestras mentes a nada, podrías encontrar discos de Heavy Metal, Doom Metal, Hard Rock, Brutal Death Metal, Thrash Metal, Power Metal incluso Blues y Country y un largo etcétera, ya ves que escuchamos de todo. |  | ¿Can you define your sound? I think there’s a mix of styles inside Setge because we have many different influences the five members of the band even if mainly we are a Death/Black Metal based band. ¿What are your main influences? ¿What do you like to listen? If we put togheter all of our records we have the members of the band, for sure we will find a very wide variety of styles. As I’ve told you we are influences mainly by Death and Black Metal, but we are not mind-closed to nothing, you can find Heavy Metal, Doom Metal, Hard Rock, Brutal Death Metal, Thrash Metal, Power Metal and even Blues and Country and much more because we listen all. |
| ¿Cuál es el tema preferido de vuestras letras? Principalmente las letras se basan en problemas y dudas existenciales de uno mismo, del ser humano. Aunque también tenemos temas que tratan sobre hechos históricos. Pero igual que no cerramos nuestras mentes a influencias musicales tampoco las cerramos en el campo lirico. ¿Qué proyectos tenéis para este año? Publicar nuestro primer disco en primer lugar y luego seguir disfrutando de la música actuando y componiendo nuevos temas. |  | ¿What’s the main theme of your lyrics? Mainly the lyrics are based in troubles and existential doubts of ourselves, of the human being. But we have songs talking about historical facts and events. In the same way we don’t close our mind to musical influences, we also don’t close it in the lyrics field.. ¿What are your main projects for this year? To launch our first record, first at all and later to continue enjoying music playing and composing new songs.. |
| ¿Cómo veis el panorama musical en Barcelona y especialmente el metal? El panorama de la música tanto en Barcelona como a nivel estatal siempre ha sido bastante malo y no lo digo por los músicos que los hay excelentes, el problema creo que esta en el resto de lo maquinaria musical. No entiendo por qué las bandas de aquí no tienen la salida que tienen otras bandas europeas especialmente las escandinavas o las norte-americanas, ya que como te digo cualidades sobran. ¿Qué le aconsejaríais a los que están empezando a montar sus bandas? Merece la pena poder componer temas propios y interpretar canciones de otros artistas. Es muy satisfactorio ver luego el resultado, así que aconsejo disfrutar del trabajo de uno mismo básicamente. |  | What do you think about the music scene in Barcelona and specially the metal one? The music scene both in Barcelona as in the rest of Spain has always been quite bad; I don’t talk about the musicians, we have excellent ones, the problem, I think, it is in the rest of the music machinery. I don’t understand why the bands from here they haven’t the international projection tan others have, specially the Scandinavian and North American ones. As I’ve told you, quality there’s enough. ¿What’s your advice for the ones starting to build their bands? It’s worth to have the opportinuty to compose songs by yourself and tho play other people songs. It’s really worth to look at the final result, then I advice to enjoy the work you do, mainly. |
